Thursday night, 11 November, Everything’s Gonna Be OK (EGBOK) Mission is hosting an auction to benefit their cause at Primitive Art Gallery (130 N. Jefferson Street) from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. $25 donation at the door will provide Hors d’oeuvres and wine samples. Wines from C. Donatiello Winery will be available for bidding, along with Asian art from Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia and Thailand, and other local artists.
EGBOK‘s goal is to provide vocational training and placement in the Hospitality Industry to underprivileged students around the world. Currently, they’re working with 22 students in Cambodia.
Unlike America—where education is pretty much experienced through oppressive student loans and a heightened sense of existential paranoia—in third world countries opportunities like this can change families for generations.
